Treatment of hypertensive disease

Hypertensive disease – a disease of the cardiovascular system, characterized by high blood pressure. Manifestations depend on the predominant lesions of the brain vessels (headaches, dizziness, irritability), heart, kidneys, eye bottom. Without systematic treatment can lead to myocardial infarction, heart failure, stroke, nephrosclerosis.

Prevailing factors: excessive salt intake (more precisely – sodium, which is part of the salt), atherosclerosis (these two diseases seem to strengthen each other and often go in tandem).
smoking; excessive alcohol consumption; high body weight – obesity; physical inactivity (i.e. immobile lifestyle).

Treatment of hypertensive disease

Treatment of hypertension involves the correction of all risk factors available in a person. Sometimes this alone is enough to significantly reduce the pressure. By measuring the pressure, doctors examine two parameters – the upper (systolic pressure) and the lower (diastolic). With a certain degree of conventionality, we can say that the main contribution to the first has the strength of heart rate, and the second is supported by the tone of blood vessels. Therefore, when prescribing treatment, doctors focus on whether the pressure – systolic or diastolic – is higher. In the first case, it is necessary to “slow down” the heart a little, and in the second – to expand the blood vessels.

Hypertensive disease is dangerous because a strong or constant spasm of blood vessels causes insufficient blood flow to vital organs – heart, brain and kidneys. With excessive spasm of the arteries or in the presence of atherosclerotic plaques in the blood can completely stop along the artery, and then there may be a sharp breach of blood circulation. So develops stroke and myocardial infarction.

Treatment of hypertensive disease

Headache is almost the most frequent manifestation of high blood pressure, or, as it is called, hypertension. It is associated with spasm of brain blood vessels. Sometimes there is another symptom: tinnitus (like a hum or tinnitus), flickering “flies” or “glitter” in the eyes, blurred vision. This is also due to poor circulation treatment of hypertension in the brain areas responsible for sound and color perception, and in addition to disturb the blood supply of the actual sound devices of the ear and light perceptive structures of the eye. There may be shortness of breath, as well as chest pain (this pain is associated with a violation of the blood supply to the heart muscle – myocardium – due to the same vascular spasm).

Hypertensive crisis

In the event of a sudden sharp increase in blood pressure, tinnitus may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, headache, flickering of flies or darkening in the eyes, as well as narrowing of the fields of vision. In general, it is a very serious condition. At this moment, people’s mood changes: irritability, tearfulness, etc. appears. In such a situation, measuring blood pressure can show very high figures (we do not give specific parameters, because for each person, “very high pressure” is characterized by different indicators). This condition, called “hypertensive crisis” by doctors, is dangerous to develop complications from the heart, brain vessels.
